These Ironman triathletes are CRAZY! Swimming 2.4 miles, biking 112 miles, and then running 26.2 miles all in one day is nothing short of amazing! I flew back to Wisconsin to document this special day for my friend Josh. This was his first Ironman and he was fabulous! His family and I were out cheering for him the entire 13 hours and 40 minutes he was racing.
Job well done Josh, we are so proud of you!

A family member of mine, Monte Merrick, received a full ride scholarship to Western Kentucky University to play football as the kicker for the team. Before the official start of the season WKU had a family day including a scrimmage at the end. I’m glad I brought my camera along… GO #11!
Brooke and Wade are a really sweet couple that I got to shoot the other day! We call these “Friendship Fotos”…not quite engagement photos (yet!).

This awesome guy was learning how to ride his bike! He had a lot of hesitation, but with Dad’s help and the support from his family he was on his way in no time!
Spent time in the West Virginia mountains for the holiday weekend and set off our own fireworks! We ate wonderful food, had target practice, and simply enjoyed each others company. Thankfully no one was hurt and everyone enjoyed the evening’s show…
This little girl just goes with the flow! Her Poppy suggested we put her in a pot and see what we could get. Maybe she knew what was going on because her expression is perfect for the circumstances!
I had the pleasure of attending several weddings this season. All my friends seem to be getting married at once! Each wedding was beautiful and fit each couples personality so well…Congratulations and thank you everyone for inviting me to be a guest on your special day! A friend and I went out for lemonade one night and when he was driving me home is was POURING rain! My house was a mess but there was no way he was going to drive home until it calmed down. It was really late but I showed him my collection of antique flower pins/earrings and this is what happened…
